Hi,
This is the 1st time I'm growing spinach. Today I saw little tiny holes on each leaf. What is that from? I'm not a big pesticide person, but if you know what I should spray the spinach with, I would appreciate it. (I use sudsy water on my basil %26amp; rose's.)

Spread used coffee grounds around the base of the plants. Stabucks will give you this stuff free and probably most truck stops and corner stores that have big coffee urns. But it is in high demand now because more and more people are discovering its other uses. Doing this does 2 things, bugs hate it and it does provide nutrients to the soil. Good luck!!
Reply:the holes are coming from slugs and snails! go to walmart and get a granular snail killer and sprinkle it "around" but not "on" ur plants!
