Tracking down information on a decades-old country music compilation, probably from Columbia Records...?

I remember listening to songs from a two-tape set in the mid- to late-70s, and while I clearly remember some of the songs and artists, it might be interesting to learn which others were there that I didn't listen to much or just don't remember.

It was probably a Columbia compilation. The two tapes were red and there was a logo--either a "C" or a target--on the front of each one. There was enough music on them to imply that the vinyl release would have been a four-record set.

I've been thinking about these because a political parody of "Big Bad John" as applied to John McCain has been mentioned in the news, and the Jimmy Dean version was on one of the tapes.

Other songs were "A Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash, "Delta Dawn" by Tanya Tucker, "Stand by Your Man" by Tammy Wynette, "Rose Garden" by Lynn Anderson, "Flowers on the Wall" by the Statler Brothers, "Almost Persuaded" by George Jones, "Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me," by Mac Davis, "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" by Flatt %26amp; Scruggs.....?

Okay well I am part Tibetan on my moms sides so she named me Sera after the Sera Monastery which is a Buddhist monastery in Tibet (their religion) My mom isnt hard core Buddhist or anything but shes a really spiritual woman

Sera also means "wild rose garden" in Tibetan

So I was thinking of getting this symbol

  • Physics horizontal velocity and height, just tell me if this is correct?

romeo is chucking pebbles gently up to juliet's window, and he wants the pebbles to hit the window with only a horizontal component of velocity. He is standing at the edge of a rose garden 8.0 m below her window and 9.0 m from the base of the wall. How fast are the pebbles going when they hit her window?

    t = (sqrt)2h/g = 1.3 seconds

    horizontal velocity = 6.9 m/s

so is the answer 6.9 m/s ? i'm not sure and my teacher marks off points for wrong answers

Physics horizontal velocity and height, just tell me if this is correct?
your answer is correct ... depending on the value you use for g (g=9.81m/s^2 is good enough for me) and if you keep more than two significant figures for the intermediate result (t=1.3s) you might end up with a final answer of 7.0m/s ... depends whether how picky your teacher is about these things.

I know you might show more work on your assignemnt than you did here ... that is always a good idea because that shows you really understand what you are doing (even a few words sometimes helps to explain what you are doing)

just for future reference, probably the way to write the first equation so that it is easiest for others to figure out what you mean is

    t = sqrt(2h/g)
Reply:Both answers are correct, but write sqrt(2h/g) and show all your work.

    Area with Vertices?

You don't have to answer/work out the problem.

Just tell me how to set it up please.

We did this at the beginning of the school year, and I can't find it in our book.

A rose garden is being planted as a border around two sides f a triangular shaped lawn in a city park. Two of the vertices of the triangular lawn have coordinates (-2.4) and (3, -5). The gardener wishes to locate the third vertex so that the 1 lawn's area is 25 square feet. Find the value of f if the coordinates of the third vertex are (3, f).

    Area with Vertices?
Since the third vertex is to be (3, f), one of the sides is along the vertical line x = 3. Take this side (length f+5) as base, and then the height is 5 (horizontal distance between the line x=3 and the point (-2, 4))

    Area of triangle = 0.5*base*height

and since height = 5 you just have to choose the value of f to make the base have the value that gives area 25. (see how carefully I avoid getting the answer!)

Does anyone know the name of the song and artist of the following lyrics?

"Beautiful Lady, are you lonely, let me show you how a night of loving can be...."

~ and then another part of the chorus is the following~

"Beautiful lady, put your hand in mine......"

It is sung by a female and it sounds like old country, it sounds like it would/could have come out at the same time as Rose Garden by Lynn Anderson, but thats just a huge (maybe inaccurate) guess.

Please someone help me, I'm going crazy trying to figure it out.

Again. Great question about a tattoo.

Notice how she gave a PICTURE of what she was considering. You paying attention out there, kids?

    Hellooooo????

Yeah, didn't think so. You're all too busy asking "whud tattttt shud i geeet???!?!!!!!!!!"

    Oh well.

    Now then....

Personally, I think it sounds good. I might have second thoughts about the vines and the blooms. The pattern you've chosen is very angular and striking and wrapping it with curvey vines might take away from the impact of the pattern....particularly if you get a small tattoo. One suggestion is to possibly consider putting a large rose behind the symbol....

  • Why would the democrats prevent this?

Filed Under: Nation News, Politics News

WASHINGTON (June 18) -- With gasoline topping $4 a gallon, President Bush urged Congress on Wednesday to lift its long-standing ban on offshore oil and gas drilling, saying the United States needs to increase its energy production. Democrats quickly rejected the idea.

"There is no excuse for delay," the president said in a statement in the Rose Garden. With the presidential election just months away, Bush made a pointed attack on Democrats, accusing them of obstructing his energy proposals and blaming them for high gasoline costs. His proposal echoed a call by Republican presidential candidate John McCain to open the Continental Shelf for exploration.

why would they reject it if it will get us out of this mess?

Why would the democrats prevent this?
    I don't get it either.

I've lived in Southern Louisiana for almost 40 years where offshore drillings has been going on for years. I have NEVER seen an oil spill that was the result of an accident on one of the offshore rigs. Spills usually occur from transporting the oil, not drilling for it.

We need to become self-sufficient where oil is concerned and kick the Arabs and Saudis to the curb.
Reply:Even OReilly said drilling is not the answer. The oil companies currently have over 60 million acres of offshore drilling land leased that they can drill if the wanted to, but they have no reason to drill or for the price to go down.

The price of oil is not based on supply and demand, but has been impacted by speculators and the declining dollar.
Reply:McCain doesn't even agree with drilling. He flip-fopped because it became politically expedient to change his mind. For such an environmentalist and maverick in he's party he's really turned out to be a hypocrite and a coward. It's not going to have huge longterm effects except on the environment. Even if the US drilled all over the country we'd only have 2-3% of the needed national supply.

Drilling will only cause prices to go down about a nickel over the next decade at the best. It's not going to have huge longterm effects except on he environment. Even if the US drilled all over the country we'd only have 2-3% of the needed national supply. We can't depend on oil. We have to find alternative sources of energy.
Reply:They prevent this because it is a FALSE SOLUTION. The oil companies have leases on 69 million acres that they can drill if they want, but they don't want to. Their refineries are operating at 89.3 % of capacity and they could produce more gasoline if they want to, but they don't want to.

This is a ploy to enable the destruction of the earth's environment on a MASSIVE SCALE and to enrich BIG OIL beyond all reason.

Our gas prices are LOW compared even to Canada's, what they hell are you cryiing about ???
Reply:It is not so much that the democrats are preventing this, its more a show of power that they have and refuse to side with a republican. I believe that it would be the same if a democratic President wanted the same with a republican majority. Its time to get our heads out of you know where and acting like adults. Who gives a rats @@@ which political party you represent. What is good for our country.
Reply:Did you read the rest of the article?

"Congressional Democrats were quick to reject the push for lifting the drilling moratorium, saying oil companies already have 68 million acres offshore waters under lease that are not being developed.

Despite what President Bush, John McCain and their friends in the oil industry claim, we cannot drill our way out of this problem."
Reply:It's really funny that Bush's father started the ban when he was president and W recently signed an extension of the ban. talk about flip-flopping!!!

Plus, he can lift the ban himself, but he wants Congress to be the bad guys (or take the blame). What a maroon! And that goes for anyone who is giving him even his 29% approval rating.
Reply:I just heard this today but I also heard that we already have coastline that is not banned that is not being drilled so I am a bit confused. I want to know why we are not working on alternative energy. Our country only has 3 percent oil and we use 2/3 of all oil. I read that but not sure if that is correct.
Reply:Democrats hate and fear the working class. THAT can be the only reason.

If the Democrast keep you from working they can FORCE you into their social programs.

If you think I'm kidding ask those idiots against drilling WHY they still use oil based products and the energy obatined from them.
Reply:They are going to find they can't spin their way out of this. When you are standing there watching 10, 20, 30 $$$ roll past on that pump , all that will matter is the pain at the pump and the Dems will pay at the voting booth.
Reply:my opinion is that the democratic "heavy hitters" want global socialism, and anything that will make the US more independent, wealthier, stronger is to be struck down.

it seems a nasty thing to say, but i see no other alternative hypothesis
Reply:I don't understand the opposition. Why would we outsource pollution? America has the technology to drill in an environmentally friendly manner, unlike some of the other oil producing countries.

    It defies all logic.
Reply:Haven't we all learned that whatever Bush proposes, turns out to be good for him and bad for the rest of us? Doing just the opposite is probably the right thing to do!
Reply:Because they and the environmental wackos would rather we all put our arms around the nearest tree and sing Kumbaya, meanwhile the economy and our country is sinking further down the toilet.
Reply:exactly "there is no excuse for delay"----so tell me the delay mr. bush....why did it get to this point....? and now everyones suppose to jump on ship?
Reply:The Democrats feel that they need to stick it to the Republicans on another issue, so they might as well take the Biggest one of concern.
Reply:Easy they don't want the environmental problems and they would just assume that we continue to work on ALTERNATIVE sources of energy!
Reply:Because they will only sale the oil on the Global market... little if any would be sold domestically.

How would you feel about shipping Alaskan oil to China?
Reply:Nobody wants to be responsible for making a plant or animal extinct or ruining beautiful landscape.
Reply:Your boy Bush is the cause of this problem.
    Reply:Bush is naive.
Reply:Now the whole country knows which party is the problem and will throw out the Democrats in November.
Reply:i'm surprised anyone listens to that idiot anymore. you must be bored.
Reply:because the liberal all they do is ***** and complain..... there is no other form of energy that can b put to mass production today so were stuck with oil for a while...... its mainly the liberals fault for the rise of gas prices do to there form of government they believe in which is socialism(read my question if u want the full answer)...... they hate american citizens or people who make profits just like u and me......... so the reason why they reject this is because its just something else they want to complain about..... also it also has to do with the environment and global warming which there is no such thing..... the earth is just going through a faze just like when teen agers hit puberty the earth has not stayed the same over the past millions and millions of years and i think people have forgotten about that..... plus its like the saying history repeats itself in this case it has....... the 1970's oil crash price of gas then was equivilent today at about 4 to 5 dollars a gallon so usually every generation that passes we further our selves but later down the road we take a step backwards

What kind of weed is this,it looks like a tall dandelion?

I live in central California, and have a tall weed growing in my rose garden, the flowers looks very much like a common dandelion, and the rest of the plant looks similar too, but it gets 2-3 feet tall. Does anyone know what it might be, or if its toxic? My herbivorious lizards love dandelion flowers, and I want to know if they can eat these flowers as well.

What kind of weed is this,it looks like a tall dandelion?
It looks like what we call "Sow Thistle" Sonchus oleraceus.

Easily remove by hand or weed spray

In NZ it is also known as Pua, which is cooked and eaten by local Maoris
Reply:I believe it to be a dandelion.
Reply:Can you get a picture of it?
Reply:I believe it is a plant in the rosinweed group. Other names are compass plant and silphium. There are about a million different kinds and I can't remember the Midwestern common name for the one that looks most like yours. I looked around a bit but I'm sorry, I got a little bored. If you search those words though, there is a bunch of stuff to look at. If I'm right, and from what I read, it would not be toxic to your lizards. I'm sorry I wasn't more definitive but I hope this helps you some.

Is a lower back tattoo always a tramp stamp?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endless_kno...

    ^the symbol i want tattooed

it is a Tibetan symbol thats been described as representing the interweaving of the Spiritual Path, the flowing of Time and Movement within That Which is Eternal.

my mom named me after a Tibetan Buddhist temple "Sera Monastery". which is why I want that symbol. Also because of spiritual beliefs. Sera also translates to "wild rose garden" in tibetian, so I would like it to be a natural/dark bark color with some interwining vines and blooms.

If I get that tatooed on my lower back is it a tramp stamp?

Is a lower back tattoo always a tramp stamp?
It doesnt matter what it is, tattoos in that area will always be perceived by people as "tramp stamps." There is a reason the other word for a tramp stamp is "ho tag." The connotation is there regardless of what is actually tattooed there. I guarantee that no one will even bother to look at what it actually is before they judge (people are jerks sometimes).

I like the idea, but I think you should get it tattooed somewhere else.

FYI: “Tramp Stamp” is a derogatory term referring to a tattoo which a women places on her lower back. It is especially popular among women born in the late 70’s, 80‘s, and even early 90’s. Fair or unfair, these tattoos have a socially constructed connotation associated with them. These women are labeled as tramps, whores, or other derogatory sexually promiscuous terms.
Reply:First of all, there are many people out there who have never heard of the term. The only thing that would make it a tramp stamp is if you are a tramp. If not, then who cares what others label a location as?

Will some strangers look at you and think to themselves, "What a tramp?". Probably - but why does that matter - you'll never know about it. I'm 40, married 21 years - don't care what strangers have going through their heads if they should happen to see my tattoo.

If someone is going to judge you before they even know you just because of the placement of a tattoo then they aren't worth getting to know anyway.
Reply:idiots call them tramp stamps, you know people who have them on their breasts or their hips by their hoo hoo's ( to be lady like) don't get them called anything. i have had a tattoo on my lower back for four years now, happily married for 5 years, never cheated and have two beautiful children, so how would that classify me as a tramp? i think trampy people are from what they do, not from what they have on their body, or for where!
Reply:That's what it's known as, and probably will be for a long time. Who cares though? I have a pretty fairy and dragon, which is a pretty decent size, in that area. I love that stuff. It's special to me. I couldn't care less what people thought. It's all about how you feel about it and if your comfortable. If you're really that concerned about it, get it somewhere else. But if you love the tattoo and the location you choose, go for it.
Reply:I have one on my lower back and I will be 40 in May. I never really cared what anyone might think and no one has ever made a negative comment about it. If it is something that you want and have thought it through then go for it....if you have doubts DON'T.

This is something that will stay with you forever...I hope that you are sure of yourself and what you want out of life because people will make judgments about your judgments.
Reply:The most popular theory is that it gives a guy somethin' to aim for... I hate that people say that though because it's so damn disrespectful. You should be able to get a tattoo anywhere you want without people judging you, I hate that women call other women that have lower back tattoos b*tches and sl*ts, and how guys always see the tattoo and think "Jackpot!" It's so demeaning... So no, I would say that you're okay. And don't take any sh*t from anyone. =)
Reply:Yes they are sorry, once you get one there you will be catagorized with all the other trashy tattoo on that location not matter how much meaning your tattoo has. I think the back of the neck would be a cool spot for one that size. Maybe get it somewehre else if the tramp stamp things concerns you.
Reply:tattoos in this position aren't always considered a tramp stamp. they are usually only referred to as a tramp stamp if they are meaningless, like a butterfly or a heart, dolphin etc. you've described this tattoo in a meaningful, spiritual way, therefore it isn't really a tramp stamp.
Reply:I agree that only idiots call them that. I got a good size tattoo of two roses on my lower back before I had ever heard the term "tramp stamp" and I don't regret it at all. It is only visible when I wear bathing suits as I rarely wear pants that low or shirts that come up that high :-)
Reply:I have a lotus flower on my lower back...Your getting the tattoo for YOURSELF and nobody else..Why should u care if its consider a tramp stamp?? If you want it get it and be happy with it...Don't worry about what other people have to say just do you...
Reply:yes most people consider them that but who cares where u want it then that's where u should get it don't let other people think for u
Reply:I don't see them as tramp stamps at all and I don't have one at all.
Reply:There will always be people like me that think they are.
    Reply:Tribals are trap stamps
Reply:That is what it's called now.
Reply:no, and why does it matter, its a stupid joke that went to far "tramp stamp" grow up

And kept crying that it probaly couldn't be fixed! Oh brother! And I also I didn't tell my boyfriend about it at first since I knew how much he loved his stupid car and then the insurance company called him and he yelled at me! But his car only had a minor scratch that wasn't noticeable but he noticed it last weekend when he washed it and assumed someone hit him and kept going, I said nothing at the time but now he's acting like a baby and not speaking to me. he didn't even ask if I was okay! Why are guys like this? I mean it's just a car! I love my rose garden and my greenhouse but I'm not going to act like a baby if someone picks a flower! Geez!

Gone from 'Iran is a terrible threat to the world' back to 'a state sponsor of terror'?

Bush's televised Rose Garden speech made me do a double-take:

Did he just CONCEDE on the 'drumbeat for war' idea with Iran?

    I mean...think about it:

Bush said once that he wouldn't allow Iran to get nuclear weapons.

"If you're interested in preventing World War III..." (famous quote)--remember that one?

NIE comes out=hopes dashed for a third-front war.

    Bush and Chenicons are pissed.

Time passes...more saber-rattling...and Iran still hasn't budged on its uranium-enrichment program.

Israel threatens to bomb the country and now Bush is saying that "Iran is still a menace--it is a state-sponsor of terror."

Does this mean that Iran is no longer the double-threat guy Bushco painted it to be in the past?

"State-sponsor of terror...state sponsor of terror..."--and...(so what's your point, Georgie?)

Does this mean we won't be going to war after all? Being a state-sponsor of terror doesn't exactly rank high on Bush's "Countries to Hit"-list, does it?

Gone from 'Iran is a terrible threat to the world' back to 'a state sponsor of terror'?
If Israel bombs Iran you can still bet that the Bush Administration will do its best to follow suit, saying that Iran is a state-sponsor of terror makes the country sound smaller and unjust to its own people and since the U.S. is at war against terrorism to say that Iran is a complete state of terrorism then he essentially is saying we are or shold be at war against it (we are at war against terrorism right?)

  • So Bush Can Blame Democrats for High Gas Prices, But Democrats Can't Blame Bush?

So Bush Can Blame Democrats for High Gas Prices, But Democrats Can't Blame Bush?

Don't Republicans always argue that Bush has nothing to do with the price of gas?

Where are the Republicans defending the Democrats then, since they have nothing to do with the price of gas?

Is this just typical Republican rhetoric/ double standard?

"There is no excuse for delay," the president said in a statement in the Rose Garden. With the presidential election just months away, Bush made a pointed attack on Democrats, accusing them of obstructing his energy proposals and blaming them for high gasoline costs. His proposal echoed a call by Republican presidential candidate John McCain to open the Continental Shelf for exploration.

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080618/ap_o...

So Bush Can Blame Democrats for High Gas Prices, But Democrats Can't Blame Bush?
I saw his speech and it's obvious that he places ALL the blame for high gas prices on congress (which has been in office for only 1 1/2 year). He did NOT even mention looking for or considering alternative energy sources. Carter warned us years ago, that we were putting ourselves in jeopardy by not conserving. Interesting how Bush didn't even mention conserving.
Reply:Yes, because thats where the blame belongs. Bush understands that the price of gas is attributed to the price of oil. And all of this is attributed to the laws of supply and demand. This means that would the Dems allow drilling offshore and in alaska, the supply of oil would increase thus lowering the costs. However, the dems wont sign on this bill and want governmental price controls. Which is what they have in europe...do you want 10 dollar a gallon gas?

Basically, the blame has to go to where its deserved.
Reply:So - Bush drills in anwr and off the coast. Will gas be less then? Who sets the price for gas? We have a lot of our own gas now so why do we have to sell it at such a high price - it makes no sense other than PROFIT. Greed is a terrible thing now a days. And it is funny that when the Republicans had control of everything for six years they didnt make everything perfect. They are big at laying the blame but dont do anything themselves other than take in profit for the rich.
Reply:1996 the Republicans got the votes to drill in ANWR and clinton vetoed it. The democrats had a chance to get in touch with reality today and told us that $4.5 a gallon isn't enough - we need to pay more.
    Reply:It's an old tired game...

If only we had ANWAR we could have cheap oil forever.

Sadly estimates for US oil reserves we could tap into are around 21 billion barrels, the US is burning through 10 million a day and climbing.

    Do the math.
Reply:yes it's just more REPUBLICAN BS i hope you have your BS DETECTOR ON because there are more to come from these Republican idiots
Reply:Well because THEY are to blame!! They have been holding up more oil drilling in Alaska and off the coast lines for YEARS now for their environmentalist agenda.

So it is their fault in many ways
    Reply:there all full of crap!
Reply:Today I read in news that Ahmadinejad ( Iranian so called president) told that there is lots of oil in market and prices which we are paying in USA are fake, several days ago bush asked his Saudi friends to put more oil in market, what was the answer? it is more than enough oil in markets, what was the oil companies profit when oil was 2.50 a gallon?(quarterly) ,,,1/4 profit that they are making now with 4.50 a gallon!!!!!! hhhmmmm ,,who are supporters of bush ??and spend millions to elect him? oil companies,,, by drilling any where they want to, they can make even more profit,,,, who request to drill offshore lately?? bush, and what they say? if my bosses sorry if oil companies drill any where they want to oil prices will come down,!!!!!!!! if congress OK this Bill heyyy party time for bush and gang, if it doesn't pass, bush will make speech and blame others for oil prices,,,,,this game is going on for a long time, I believe we Americans are very smart people.
Reply:Actually he can attribute most of the blame to the Democrats and have a certain amount of validity.

Way back when the earth was cooling and Carter was President we had a problem getting the crude we needed to power this country. In my humble opinion Carter made the only really smart statement his entire term when he told Congress (and the American people too) being this dependant on foreign oil is an accident looking for a place to happen. What we are going through today is proof even a blind hog finds and acorn every once in a while. About oil dependence he was right.

The Democrats really had control of Congress then. They could pretty much do as they pleased. What did they do about the oil shortage? They did a few studies and minor 'pilot' projects into ethanol production. Sure you can get ethanol from grains. Ted Kennedy has known that since before he drove off the bridge drunk. But how many millions of dollars were wasted on these studies and projects.

The money isn't the important thing. It's the time we've wasted that is. Democrats did nothing to correct the situation all the way from 1978 to 1994. And the Republicans let them get away with it. I can see Democrats doing nothing after a year or two. They are too short sighted to see anything long term. They are too here and now. They 'd rather beconcerned with gay marriage, gun control, minimum wage, and lots of other stuff that don't really mean much to the economy. They'd rather grease the squeek than fix the axle.

But I really get mad at the Republicans. They are supposed to be better than Democrats when it comes to understanding what's coming down the road. When they got control they did not much better than Democrats. Minor changes in business tax code but nothing more.

Environmentalists (mostly LIBERAL Democrats) have legislation on the books that says you DON'T drill of the coasts and in ANWR because it 'might' hurt the animals. I just love how they put animals ahead of people. Ask me about the mussles in Lake Ponchatrain. But that is another story.

What I would have like to have seen Congress do any time in the last two decades is tell Enviros, 'OK you don't want us to burn fossil fuels, dam the rivers, or build nuclear power plants. GIVE US AN ALTERNATIVE! Give us an alternative that is cheaper and we'll run to it. Give us an alternative that is cleaner and we'll replace anything that you don't like. But until you have an alternative-- GET OUT OF OUR FACE!'

Both sides are at fault. But like Carter's statement about dependence on foreign oil was right. Bush's statement about this problem being more on the Democrats. He may be a Republican. And it may have been a pure political statement. But that doesn't mean the statement was wrong.

People believe global warming is real because of a .1 degree rise in temperature. Well I believe the energy cricis is real and I think it's been more the fault of Democrats than Republicans. But you know what? I don't really care who's fault it is. Who's going to find the solution. Maxine Waters? Dennis Kucinich? I don't think so!

You can blame storm and accomplish nothing( but waste valuable time). OR you can brain storm and work to a GOOD solution. Because like it or not. One day any oil we use won't come from underground. The problem existed during the time of Carter. Since then we have have Democrat and Republican Presidents. We've had Democrat and Republican Congress. And we still have the SAME problem. When will the problem be fixed? Isn't thirty years enough time?
Reply:Well the demo rats have been blocking us drilling our own oil for decades now. So who should get the blame? What about the 139 billion barrels of oil our own government just said there is on government controlled land. Ever hear of a filibuster the democrats use it every time a vote for drilling our own oil comes up. so don't play stupid.

Which is cheap on line tour or buy the travel agency in Bangkok?

hi, I will travel to bangkok on 19 jun and will let on 24 jun

I would like to take a tour around Bangkok that can show the most important part for example: city, temples, shopping, Floating Market, Rose Garden, the Ancient City, Jim Thompson's House %26amp; Palace, Golden Buddha Temple, Chinatown, dinner in the cruise, night live, like Calypso show, etc. Also Tiger temple and also elephant ride.

I was thinking to do somthing like this:

Day 1 (DAMNOEN SADUAK FLOATING MARKET %26amp; ROSEGARDEN)

Day 2 (CITY TOUR %26amp; GRAND PALACE, ANCIENT CITY

    and JIM THOMPSON HOUSE)

Day 3 (RIVER KWAI %26amp; TIGER TEMPLE )

    Day 4 (AYUTTHAYA)

I getting proposal arround from 300$ thru 600$ or more per person just for tour for 2 person. So i wonder to know if there is a cheap option direct in bangkok or is better to do onlinebooking. ???????

Which is cheap on line tour or buy the travel agency in Bangkok?
Thailand, Bangkok in particular, is one easiest countries in that area for getting tours set up.

In Bangkok, Chiang Mai or Pattaya you simply find the nearest travel agency and check out their list of tours. All of the tours you want are pretty common, tour companies go to these places all the time.

After you locate the nearest travel agency (there are lots of them) choose the places you want to see and the tour company will pick you up at your hotel and return you there. They are used to quick turnovers, choose the tour early in the morning and you may be able to leave that afternoon. Same for evening dinner cruises. Or you can choose a tour in the evening and leave the following morning.

When you leave on tours or anytime you leave your hotel for a while make sure you have some toilet paper in your travel bag, also good idea to have some of those paper hand wipes (wet wipes/wetnaps.) Some stops you make may not have paper or means of cleaning your hands.

Probably a good idea to wear a hat to shade your eyes and some sun block too if you are going to be outside a lot.

When you buy your tour in person you know you are not getting cheated, also you know if there are any "hidden charges" right away! Often when you purchase anything overseas using a credit card there are "other charges" added into the final bill!

    Good luck.

    Good luck.
Reply:Since you will msot likely have to take a flight transfer anyways I would reccommend booking in vietnam where the tours are offered very cheap, you will most likely go to the main tour spots in bangkok, and possible make a trip out to pattaya too, but they have many package options and are willing to book last minute.
Reply:if you can find online agency its best ..coz they may make more cheaper if you know them ..but its same u book online or go through agency ........

www.thaifly.com ..if u are student they give u cheap fare ......and www.priceline.com ...its more safe place to book your ticket .

    you can get discount in

    www.studentuniverse.com ....

i really wanted to go thailand ..i got my gf there ..i am also looking for cheap tickets ....and i find these informations...

    hope it helps you

..Goodluck and have a safe journey..

    thanks
Reply:USD300 is about Baht9500, you could get cheaper online. Also, Day 2 doesn't make sense.
Reply:Sooooo - EZ - [ though I have never done it ] - but nearly every single hotel in bkk has a travel desk and they all have brochures for what I assume is the same tours.. OR - in the tourist areas, the streets are full of travel agencies who also have the same tours... You can book near anywhere and usually these kinds of things will pick you up at your hotel.. and the prices seem to be fairly reasonable too - - so, I would not even bother to book online but if you feel a need to do it in advance, you might contact a travel agent or the hotel where you are staying... I think the prices above that you mention are high - - but, well, I have a car, I don't take tours so I don't know for sure... but there seem to be no shortage of tours here.. and you are coming during off season too. good luck - great country.. have fun

Toss Up: Whos' more to blame for the Sonics' move to Oklahoma City: Seattle or David Stern?

When the owners of the Rose Garden filed for bankruptcy and it was rumored that the Blazers would have to move, David Stern immediately stepped in and said he was committed to keeping the team where it was. But now The Boss is simply letting Seattle go without a fight. He allowed the sale of the Sonics to a guy from OKC. The OKC Hornets were simply a test for the future move. Did Stern really want to save the Sonics? Is that a real way to end 41 years of NBA basketball in a major sports city? Then again, Seattle adopted a wait-and-see attitude, allowing new ownership to rally support for the relocation. They didn't even unveil a major "renovation" plan until it was too late. For a city home to Boeing, Microsoft, and Starbucks, they could have financed a new arena with just their pocket change. So who is really to blame? The Emerald City or the Boss?

Toss Up: Whos' more to blame for the Sonics' move to Oklahoma City: Seattle or David Stern?
Seattle, they didn't fund their team enough. They deserve this...

Jonas Brothers, October 30th conert, are they playing with Miley?

On the Jonas brothers myspace page under upcoming shows a concert October 30th is on there for Portland, Oregon at the Rose Garden. I heard they were going to be the opening act for Miley or something, I don't really know. It never says anything about that on their myspace. I was wondering if anyone knows what's up with this? Are they just playing a few songs? Depending on how much the JB are playing I don't know if I want to go because I don't like Miley Cyrus.

Check jonasbrothersfan.com, I think it says there. Or ticketmaster under the best of both worlds tour.

the Tibetan symbol has been described as an ancient symbol representing the interweaving of the Spiritual Path, the flowing of Time and Movement within That Which is Eternal.

I would prefer to keep it on the smaller side and have considered a few spots where I would want it but im not positive where it would look best. I KNOW I dont want it on the back of my neck though.

As for meaning my mom named me after a Tibetan Buddhist temple "Sera Monastery". Sera also translates to "wild rose garden" in tibetian, so I would like it to be a natural/dark bark color with some interwining vines and blooms.

    Where?
