Tracking down information on a decades-old country music compilation, probably from Columbia Records...?

I remember listening to songs from a two-tape set in the mid- to late-70s, and while I clearly remember some of the songs and artists, it might be interesting to learn which others were there that I didn't listen to much or just don't remember.

It was probably a Columbia compilation. The two tapes were red and there was a logo--either a "C" or a target--on the front of each one. There was enough music on them to imply that the vinyl release would have been a four-record set.

I've been thinking about these because a political parody of "Big Bad John" as applied to John McCain has been mentioned in the news, and the Jimmy Dean version was on one of the tapes.

Other songs were "A Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash, "Delta Dawn" by Tanya Tucker, "Stand by Your Man" by Tammy Wynette, "Rose Garden" by Lynn Anderson, "Flowers on the Wall" by the Statler Brothers, "Almost Persuaded" by George Jones, "Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me," by Mac Davis, "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" by Flatt %26amp; Scruggs.....?

  • Physics horizontal velocity and height, just tell me if this is correct?

romeo is chucking pebbles gently up to juliet's window, and he wants the pebbles to hit the window with only a horizontal component of velocity. He is standing at the edge of a rose garden 8.0 m below her window and 9.0 m from the base of the wall. How fast are the pebbles going when they hit her window?

    t = (sqrt)2h/g = 1.3 seconds

    horizontal velocity = 6.9 m/s

so is the answer 6.9 m/s ? i'm not sure and my teacher marks off points for wrong answers

Physics horizontal velocity and height, just tell me if this is correct?
your answer is correct ... depending on the value you use for g (g=9.81m/s^2 is good enough for me) and if you keep more than two significant figures for the intermediate result (t=1.3s) you might end up with a final answer of 7.0m/s ... depends whether how picky your teacher is about these things.

I know you might show more work on your assignemnt than you did here ... that is always a good idea because that shows you really understand what you are doing (even a few words sometimes helps to explain what you are doing)

just for future reference, probably the way to write the first equation so that it is easiest for others to figure out what you mean is

    t = sqrt(2h/g)
Reply:Both answers are correct, but write sqrt(2h/g) and show all your work.

    Area with Vertices?

You don't have to answer/work out the problem.

Just tell me how to set it up please.

We did this at the beginning of the school year, and I can't find it in our book.

A rose garden is being planted as a border around two sides f a triangular shaped lawn in a city park. Two of the vertices of the triangular lawn have coordinates (-2.4) and (3, -5). The gardener wishes to locate the third vertex so that the 1 lawn's area is 25 square feet. Find the value of f if the coordinates of the third vertex are (3, f).

    Area with Vertices?
Since the third vertex is to be (3, f), one of the sides is along the vertical line x = 3. Take this side (length f+5) as base, and then the height is 5 (horizontal distance between the line x=3 and the point (-2, 4))

    Area of triangle = 0.5*base*height

and since height = 5 you just have to choose the value of f to make the base have the value that gives area 25. (see how carefully I avoid getting the answer!)

Does anyone know the name of the song and artist of the following lyrics?

"Beautiful Lady, are you lonely, let me show you how a night of loving can be...."

~ and then another part of the chorus is the following~

"Beautiful lady, put your hand in mine......"

It is sung by a female and it sounds like old country, it sounds like it would/could have come out at the same time as Rose Garden by Lynn Anderson, but thats just a huge (maybe inaccurate) guess.

Please someone help me, I'm going crazy trying to figure it out.

Again. Great question about a tattoo.

Notice how she gave a PICTURE of what she was considering. You paying attention out there, kids?

    Hellooooo????

Yeah, didn't think so. You're all too busy asking "whud tattttt shud i geeet???!?!!!!!!!!"

    Oh well.

    Now then....

Personally, I think it sounds good. I might have second thoughts about the vines and the blooms. The pattern you've chosen is very angular and striking and wrapping it with curvey vines might take away from the impact of the pattern....particularly if you get a small tattoo. One suggestion is to possibly consider putting a large rose behind the symbol....

  • Why would the democrats prevent this?

Filed Under: Nation News, Politics News

WASHINGTON (June 18) -- With gasoline topping $4 a gallon, President Bush urged Congress on Wednesday to lift its long-standing ban on offshore oil and gas drilling, saying the United States needs to increase its energy production. Democrats quickly rejected the idea.

"There is no excuse for delay," the president said in a statement in the Rose Garden. With the presidential election just months away, Bush made a pointed attack on Democrats, accusing them of obstructing his energy proposals and blaming them for high gasoline costs. His proposal echoed a call by Republican presidential candidate John McCain to open the Continental Shelf for exploration.

why would they reject it if it will get us out of this mess?

Why would the democrats prevent this?
    I don't get it either.

I've lived in Southern Louisiana for almost 40 years where offshore drillings has been going on for years. I have NEVER seen an oil spill that was the result of an accident on one of the offshore rigs. Spills usually occur from transporting the oil, not drilling for it.

We need to become self-sufficient where oil is concerned and kick the Arabs and Saudis to the curb.
Reply:Even OReilly said drilling is not the answer. The oil companies currently have over 60 million acres of offshore drilling land leased that they can drill if the wanted to, but they have no reason to drill or for the price to go down.

The price of oil is not based on supply and demand, but has been impacted by speculators and the declining dollar.
Reply:McCain doesn't even agree with drilling. He flip-fopped because it became politically expedient to change his mind. For such an environmentalist and maverick in he's party he's really turned out to be a hypocrite and a coward. It's not going to have huge longterm effects except on the environment. Even if the US drilled all over the country we'd only have 2-3% of the needed national supply.

Drilling will only cause prices to go down about a nickel over the next decade at the best. It's not going to have huge longterm effects except on he environment. Even if the US drilled all over the country we'd only have 2-3% of the needed national supply. We can't depend on oil. We have to find alternative sources of energy.
Reply:They prevent this because it is a FALSE SOLUTION. The oil companies have leases on 69 million acres that they can drill if they want, but they don't want to. Their refineries are operating at 89.3 % of capacity and they could produce more gasoline if they want to, but they don't want to.

This is a ploy to enable the destruction of the earth's environment on a MASSIVE SCALE and to enrich BIG OIL beyond all reason.

Our gas prices are LOW compared even to Canada's, what they hell are you cryiing about ???
Reply:It is not so much that the democrats are preventing this, its more a show of power that they have and refuse to side with a republican. I believe that it would be the same if a democratic President wanted the same with a republican majority. Its time to get our heads out of you know where and acting like adults. Who gives a rats @@@ which political party you represent. What is good for our country.
Reply:Did you read the rest of the article?

"Congressional Democrats were quick to reject the push for lifting the drilling moratorium, saying oil companies already have 68 million acres offshore waters under lease that are not being developed.

Despite what President Bush, John McCain and their friends in the oil industry claim, we cannot drill our way out of this problem."
Reply:It's really funny that Bush's father started the ban when he was president and W recently signed an extension of the ban. talk about flip-flopping!!!

Plus, he can lift the ban himself, but he wants Congress to be the bad guys (or take the blame). What a maroon! And that goes for anyone who is giving him even his 29% approval rating.
Reply:I just heard this today but I also heard that we already have coastline that is not banned that is not being drilled so I am a bit confused. I want to know why we are not working on alternative energy. Our country only has 3 percent oil and we use 2/3 of all oil. I read that but not sure if that is correct.
Reply:Democrats hate and fear the working class. THAT can be the only reason.

If the Democrast keep you from working they can FORCE you into their social programs.

If you think I'm kidding ask those idiots against drilling WHY they still use oil based products and the energy obatined from them.
Reply:They are going to find they can't spin their way out of this. When you are standing there watching 10, 20, 30 $$$ roll past on that pump , all that will matter is the pain at the pump and the Dems will pay at the voting booth.
Reply:my opinion is that the democratic "heavy hitters" want global socialism, and anything that will make the US more independent, wealthier, stronger is to be struck down.

it seems a nasty thing to say, but i see no other alternative hypothesis
Reply:I don't understand the opposition. Why would we outsource pollution? America has the technology to drill in an environmentally friendly manner, unlike some of the other oil producing countries.

    It defies all logic.
Reply:Haven't we all learned that whatever Bush proposes, turns out to be good for him and bad for the rest of us? Doing just the opposite is probably the right thing to do!
Reply:Because they and the environmental wackos would rather we all put our arms around the nearest tree and sing Kumbaya, meanwhile the economy and our country is sinking further down the toilet.
Reply:exactly "there is no excuse for delay"----so tell me the delay mr. bush....why did it get to this point....? and now everyones suppose to jump on ship?
Reply:The Democrats feel that they need to stick it to the Republicans on another issue, so they might as well take the Biggest one of concern.
Reply:Easy they don't want the environmental problems and they would just assume that we continue to work on ALTERNATIVE sources of energy!
Reply:Because they will only sale the oil on the Global market... little if any would be sold domestically.

How would you feel about shipping Alaskan oil to China?
Reply:Nobody wants to be responsible for making a plant or animal extinct or ruining beautiful landscape.
Reply:Your boy Bush is the cause of this problem.
    Reply:Bush is naive.
Reply:Now the whole country knows which party is the problem and will throw out the Democrats in November.
Reply:i'm surprised anyone listens to that idiot anymore. you must be bored.
Reply:because the liberal all they do is ***** and complain..... there is no other form of energy that can b put to mass production today so were stuck with oil for a while...... its mainly the liberals fault for the rise of gas prices do to there form of government they believe in which is socialism(read my question if u want the full answer)...... they hate american citizens or people who make profits just like u and me......... so the reason why they reject this is because its just something else they want to complain about..... also it also has to do with the environment and global warming which there is no such thing..... the earth is just going through a faze just like when teen agers hit puberty the earth has not stayed the same over the past millions and millions of years and i think people have forgotten about that..... plus its like the saying history repeats itself in this case it has....... the 1970's oil crash price of gas then was equivilent today at about 4 to 5 dollars a gallon so usually every generation that passes we further our selves but later down the road we take a step backwards

What kind of weed is this,it looks like a tall dandelion?

I live in central California, and have a tall weed growing in my rose garden, the flowers looks very much like a common dandelion, and the rest of the plant looks similar too, but it gets 2-3 feet tall. Does anyone know what it might be, or if its toxic? My herbivorious lizards love dandelion flowers, and I want to know if they can eat these flowers as well.

What kind of weed is this,it looks like a tall dandelion?
It looks like what we call "Sow Thistle" Sonchus oleraceus.

Easily remove by hand or weed spray

In NZ it is also known as Pua, which is cooked and eaten by local Maoris
Reply:I believe it to be a dandelion.
Reply:Can you get a picture of it?
Reply:I believe it is a plant in the rosinweed group. Other names are compass plant and silphium. There are about a million different kinds and I can't remember the Midwestern common name for the one that looks most like yours. I looked around a bit but I'm sorry, I got a little bored. If you search those words though, there is a bunch of stuff to look at. If I'm right, and from what I read, it would not be toxic to your lizards. I'm sorry I wasn't more definitive but I hope this helps you some.

Is a lower back tattoo always a tramp stamp?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endless_kno...

    ^the symbol i want tattooed

it is a Tibetan symbol thats been described as representing the interweaving of the Spiritual Path, the flowing of Time and Movement within That Which is Eternal.

my mom named me after a Tibetan Buddhist temple "Sera Monastery". which is why I want that symbol. Also because of spiritual beliefs. Sera also translates to "wild rose garden" in tibetian, so I would like it to be a natural/dark bark color with some interwining vines and blooms.

If I get that tatooed on my lower back is it a tramp stamp?

Is a lower back tattoo always a tramp stamp?
It doesnt matter what it is, tattoos in that area will always be perceived by people as "tramp stamps." There is a reason the other word for a tramp stamp is "ho tag." The connotation is there regardless of what is actually tattooed there. I guarantee that no one will even bother to look at what it actually is before they judge (people are jerks sometimes).

I like the idea, but I think you should get it tattooed somewhere else.

FYI: “Tramp Stamp” is a derogatory term referring to a tattoo which a women places on her lower back. It is especially popular among women born in the late 70’s, 80‘s, and even early 90’s. Fair or unfair, these tattoos have a socially constructed connotation associated with them. These women are labeled as tramps, whores, or other derogatory sexually promiscuous terms.
Reply:First of all, there are many people out there who have never heard of the term. The only thing that would make it a tramp stamp is if you are a tramp. If not, then who cares what others label a location as?

Will some strangers look at you and think to themselves, "What a tramp?". Probably - but why does that matter - you'll never know about it. I'm 40, married 21 years - don't care what strangers have going through their heads if they should happen to see my tattoo.

If someone is going to judge you before they even know you just because of the placement of a tattoo then they aren't worth getting to know anyway.
Reply:idiots call them tramp stamps, you know people who have them on their breasts or their hips by their hoo hoo's ( to be lady like) don't get them called anything. i have had a tattoo on my lower back for four years now, happily married for 5 years, never cheated and have two beautiful children, so how would that classify me as a tramp? i think trampy people are from what they do, not from what they have on their body, or for where!
Reply:That's what it's known as, and probably will be for a long time. Who cares though? I have a pretty fairy and dragon, which is a pretty decent size, in that area. I love that stuff. It's special to me. I couldn't care less what people thought. It's all about how you feel about it and if your comfortable. If you're really that concerned about it, get it somewhere else. But if you love the tattoo and the location you choose, go for it.
Reply:I have one on my lower back and I will be 40 in May. I never really cared what anyone might think and no one has ever made a negative comment about it. If it is something that you want and have thought it through then go for it....if you have doubts DON'T.

This is something that will stay with you forever...I hope that you are sure of yourself and what you want out of life because people will make judgments about your judgments.
Reply:The most popular theory is that it gives a guy somethin' to aim for... I hate that people say that though because it's so damn disrespectful. You should be able to get a tattoo anywhere you want without people judging you, I hate that women call other women that have lower back tattoos b*tches and sl*ts, and how guys always see the tattoo and think "Jackpot!" It's so demeaning... So no, I would say that you're okay. And don't take any sh*t from anyone. =)
Reply:Yes they are sorry, once you get one there you will be catagorized with all the other trashy tattoo on that location not matter how much meaning your tattoo has. I think the back of the neck would be a cool spot for one that size. Maybe get it somewehre else if the tramp stamp things concerns you.
Reply:tattoos in this position aren't always considered a tramp stamp. they are usually only referred to as a tramp stamp if they are meaningless, like a butterfly or a heart, dolphin etc. you've described this tattoo in a meaningful, spiritual way, therefore it isn't really a tramp stamp.
Reply:I agree that only idiots call them that. I got a good size tattoo of two roses on my lower back before I had ever heard the term "tramp stamp" and I don't regret it at all. It is only visible when I wear bathing suits as I rarely wear pants that low or shirts that come up that high :-)
Reply:I have a lotus flower on my lower back...Your getting the tattoo for YOURSELF and nobody else..Why should u care if its consider a tramp stamp?? If you want it get it and be happy with it...Don't worry about what other people have to say just do you...
Reply:yes most people consider them that but who cares where u want it then that's where u should get it don't let other people think for u
Reply:I don't see them as tramp stamps at all and I don't have one at all.
Reply:There will always be people like me that think they are.
    Reply:Tribals are trap stamps
Reply:That is what it's called now.
Reply:no, and why does it matter, its a stupid joke that went to far "tramp stamp" grow up

And kept crying that it probaly couldn't be fixed! Oh brother! And I also I didn't tell my boyfriend about it at first since I knew how much he loved his stupid car and then the insurance company called him and he yelled at me! But his car only had a minor scratch that wasn't noticeable but he noticed it last weekend when he washed it and assumed someone hit him and kept going, I said nothing at the time but now he's acting like a baby and not speaking to me. he didn't even ask if I was okay! Why are guys like this? I mean it's just a car! I love my rose garden and my greenhouse but I'm not going to act like a baby if someone picks a flower! Geez!

Gone from 'Iran is a terrible threat to the world' back to 'a state sponsor of terror'?

Bush's televised Rose Garden speech made me do a double-take:

Did he just CONCEDE on the 'drumbeat for war' idea with Iran?

    I mean...think about it:

Bush said once that he wouldn't allow Iran to get nuclear weapons.

"If you're interested in preventing World War III..." (famous quote)--remember that one?

NIE comes out=hopes dashed for a third-front war.

    Bush and Chenicons are pissed.

Time passes...more saber-rattling...and Iran still hasn't budged on its uranium-enrichment program.

Israel threatens to bomb the country and now Bush is saying that "Iran is still a menace--it is a state-sponsor of terror."

Does this mean that Iran is no longer the double-threat guy Bushco painted it to be in the past?

"State-sponsor of terror...state sponsor of terror..."--and...(so what's your point, Georgie?)

Does this mean we won't be going to war after all? Being a state-sponsor of terror doesn't exactly rank high on Bush's "Countries to Hit"-list, does it?

Gone from 'Iran is a terrible threat to the world' back to 'a state sponsor of terror'?
If Israel bombs Iran you can still bet that the Bush Administration will do its best to follow suit, saying that Iran is a state-sponsor of terror makes the country sound smaller and unjust to its own people and since the U.S. is at war against terrorism to say that Iran is a complete state of terrorism then he essentially is saying we are or shold be at war against it (we are at war against terrorism right?)

  • So Bush Can Blame Democrats for High Gas Prices, But Democrats Can't Blame Bush?

So Bush Can Blame Democrats for High Gas Prices, But Democrats Can't Blame Bush?

Don't Republicans always argue that Bush has nothing to do with the price of gas?

Where are the Republicans defending the Democrats then, since they have nothing to do with the price of gas?

Is this just typical Republican rhetoric/ double standard?

"There is no excuse for delay," the president said in a statement in the Rose Garden. With the presidential election just months away, Bush made a pointed attack on Democrats, accusing them of obstructing his energy proposals and blaming them for high gasoline costs. His proposal echoed a call by Republican presidential candidate John McCain to open the Continental Shelf for exploration.

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080618/ap_o...

So Bush Can Blame Democrats for High Gas Prices, But Democrats Can't Blame Bush?
I saw his speech and it's obvious that he places ALL the blame for high gas prices on congress (which has been in office for only 1 1/2 year). He did NOT even mention looking for or considering alternative energy sources. Carter warned us years ago, that we were putting ourselves in jeopardy by not conserving. Interesting how Bush didn't even mention conserving.
Reply:Yes, because thats where the blame belongs. Bush understands that the price of gas is attributed to the price of oil. And all of this is attributed to the laws of supply and demand. This means that would the Dems allow drilling offshore and in alaska, the supply of oil would increase thus lowering the costs. However, the dems wont sign on this bill and want governmental price controls. Which is what they have in europe...do you want 10 dollar a gallon gas?

Basically, the blame has to go to where its deserved.
Reply:So - Bush drills in anwr and off the coast. Will gas be less then? Who sets the price for gas? We have a lot of our own gas now so why do we have to sell it at such a high price - it makes no sense other than PROFIT. Greed is a terrible thing now a days. And it is funny that when the Republicans had control of everything for six years they didnt make everything perfect. They are big at laying the blame but dont do anything themselves other than take in profit for the rich.
Reply:1996 the Republicans got the votes to drill in ANWR and clinton vetoed it. The democrats had a chance to get in touch with reality today and told us that $4.5 a gallon isn't enough - we need to pay more.
    Reply:It's an old tired game...

If only we had ANWAR we could have cheap oil forever.

Sadly estimates for US oil reserves we could tap into are around 21 billion barrels, the US is burning through 10 million a day and climbing.

    Do the math.
Reply:yes it's just more REPUBLICAN BS i hope you have your BS DETECTOR ON because there are more to come from these Republican idiots
Reply:Well because THEY are to blame!! They have been holding up more oil drilling in Alaska and off the coast lines for YEARS now for their environmentalist agenda.

So it is their fault in many ways
    Reply:there all full of crap!
Reply:Today I read in news that Ahmadinejad ( Iranian so called president) told that there is lots of oil in market and prices which we are paying in USA are fake, several days ago bush asked his Saudi friends to put more oil in market, what was the answer? it is more than enough oil in markets, what was the oil companies profit when oil was 2.50 a gallon?(quarterly) ,,,1/4 profit that they are making now with 4.50 a gallon!!!!!! hhhmmmm ,,who are supporters of bush ??and spend millions to elect him? oil companies,,, by drilling any where they want to, they can make even more profit,,,, who request to drill offshore lately?? bush, and what they say? if my bosses sorry if oil companies drill any where they want to oil prices will come down,!!!!!!!! if congress OK this Bill heyyy party time for bush and gang, if it doesn't pass, bush will make speech and blame others for oil prices,,,,,this game is going on for a long time, I believe we Americans are very smart people.
Reply:Actually he can attribute most of the blame to the Democrats and have a certain amount of validity.

Way back when the earth was cooling and Carter was President we had a problem getting the crude we needed to power this country. In my humble opinion Carter made the only really smart statement his entire term when he told Congress (and the American people too) being this dependant on foreign oil is an accident looking for a place to happen. What we are going through today is proof even a blind hog finds and acorn every once in a while. About oil dependence he was right.

The Democrats really had control of Congress then. They could pretty much do as they pleased. What did they do about the oil shortage? They did a few studies and minor 'pilot' projects into ethanol production. Sure you can get ethanol from grains. Ted Kennedy has known that since before he drove off the bridge drunk. But how many millions of dollars were wasted on these studies and projects.

The money isn't the important thing. It's the time we've wasted that is. Democrats did nothing to correct the situation all the way from 1978 to 1994. And the Republicans let them get away with it. I can see Democrats doing nothing after a year or two. They are too short sighted to see anything long term. They are too here and now. They 'd rather beconcerned with gay marriage, gun control, minimum wage, and lots of other stuff that don't really mean much to the economy. They'd rather grease the squeek than fix the axle.

But I really get mad at the Republicans. They are supposed to be better than Democrats when it comes to understanding what's coming down the road. When they got control they did not much better than Democrats. Minor changes in business tax code but nothing more.

Environmentalists (mostly LIBERAL Democrats) have legislation on the books that says you DON'T drill of the coasts and in ANWR because it 'might' hurt the animals. I just love how they put animals ahead of people. Ask me about the mussles in Lake Ponchatrain. But that is another story.

What I would have like to have seen Congress do any time in the last two decades is tell Enviros, 'OK you don't want us to burn fossil fuels, dam the rivers, or build nuclear power plants. GIVE US AN ALTERNATIVE! Give us an alternative that is cheaper and we'll run to it. Give us an alternative that is cleaner and we'll replace anything that you don't like. But until you have an alternative-- GET OUT OF OUR FACE!'

Both sides are at fault. But like Carter's statement about dependence on foreign oil was right. Bush's statement about this problem being more on the Democrats. He may be a Republican. And it may have been a pure political statement. But that doesn't mean the statement was wrong.

People believe global warming is real because of a .1 degree rise in temperature. Well I believe the energy cricis is real and I think it's been more the fault of Democrats than Republicans. But you know what? I don't really care who's fault it is. Who's going to find the solution. Maxine Waters? Dennis Kucinich? I don't think so!

You can blame storm and accomplish nothing( but waste valuable time). OR you can brain storm and work to a GOOD solution. Because like it or not. One day any oil we use won't come from underground. The problem existed during the time of Carter. Since then we have have Democrat and Republican Presidents. We've had Democrat and Republican Congress. And we still have the SAME problem. When will the problem be fixed? Isn't thirty years enough time?
Reply:Well the demo rats have been blocking us drilling our own oil for decades now. So who should get the blame? What about the 139 billion barrels of oil our own government just said there is on government controlled land. Ever hear of a filibuster the democrats use it every time a vote for drilling our own oil comes up. so don't play stupid.

Which is cheap on line tour or buy the travel agency in Bangkok?

hi, I will travel to bangkok on 19 jun and will let on 24 jun

I would like to take a tour around Bangkok that can show the most important part for example: city, temples, shopping, Floating Market, Rose Garden, the Ancient City, Jim Thompson's House %26amp; Palace, Golden Buddha Temple, Chinatown, dinner in the cruise, night live, like Calypso show, etc. Also Tiger temple and also elephant ride.

I was thinking to do somthing like this:

Day 1 (DAMNOEN SADUAK FLOATING MARKET %26amp; ROSEGARDEN)

Day 2 (CITY TOUR %26amp; GRAND PALACE, ANCIENT CITY

    and JIM THOMPSON HOUSE)

Day 3 (RIVER KWAI %26amp; TIGER TEMPLE )

    Day 4 (AYUTTHAYA)

I getting proposal arround from 300$ thru 600$ or more per person just for tour for 2 person. So i wonder to know if there is a cheap option direct in bangkok or is better to do onlinebooking. ???????

Which is cheap on line tour or buy the travel agency in Bangkok?
Thailand, Bangkok in particular, is one easiest countries in that area for getting tours set up.

In Bangkok, Chiang Mai or Pattaya you simply find the nearest travel agency and check out their list of tours. All of the tours you want are pretty common, tour companies go to these places all the time.

After you locate the nearest travel agency (there are lots of them) choose the places you want to see and the tour company will pick you up at your hotel and return you there. They are used to quick turnovers, choose the tour early in the morning and you may be able to leave that afternoon. Same for evening dinner cruises. Or you can choose a tour in the evening and leave the following morning.

When you leave on tours or anytime you leave your hotel for a while make sure you have some toilet paper in your travel bag, also good idea to have some of those paper hand wipes (wet wipes/wetnaps.) Some stops you make may not have paper or means of cleaning your hands.

Probably a good idea to wear a hat to shade your eyes and some sun block too if you are going to be outside a lot.

When you buy your tour in person you know you are not getting cheated, also you know if there are any "hidden charges" right away! Often when you purchase anything overseas using a credit card there are "other charges" added into the final bill!

    Good luck.

    Good luck.
Reply:Since you will msot likely have to take a flight transfer anyways I would reccommend booking in vietnam where the tours are offered very cheap, you will most likely go to the main tour spots in bangkok, and possible make a trip out to pattaya too, but they have many package options and are willing to book last minute.
Reply:if you can find online agency its best ..coz they may make more cheaper if you know them ..but its same u book online or go through agency ........

    thanks
Reply:USD300 is about Baht9500, you could get cheaper online. Also, Day 2 doesn't make sense.
Reply:Sooooo - EZ - [ though I have never done it ] - but nearly every single hotel in bkk has a travel desk and they all have brochures for what I assume is the same tours.. OR - in the tourist areas, the streets are full of travel agencies who also have the same tours... You can book near anywhere and usually these kinds of things will pick you up at your hotel.. and the prices seem to be fairly reasonable too - - so, I would not even bother to book online but if you feel a need to do it in advance, you might contact a travel agent or the hotel where you are staying... I think the prices above that you mention are high - - but, well, I have a car, I don't take tours so I don't know for sure... but there seem to be no shortage of tours here.. and you are coming during off season too. good luck - great country.. have fun

Toss Up: Whos' more to blame for the Sonics' move to Oklahoma City: Seattle or David Stern?

When the owners of the Rose Garden filed for bankruptcy and it was rumored that the Blazers would have to move, David Stern immediately stepped in and said he was committed to keeping the team where it was. But now The Boss is simply letting Seattle go without a fight. He allowed the sale of the Sonics to a guy from OKC. The OKC Hornets were simply a test for the future move. Did Stern really want to save the Sonics? Is that a real way to end 41 years of NBA basketball in a major sports city? Then again, Seattle adopted a wait-and-see attitude, allowing new ownership to rally support for the relocation. They didn't even unveil a major "renovation" plan until it was too late. For a city home to Boeing, Microsoft, and Starbucks, they could have financed a new arena with just their pocket change. So who is really to blame? The Emerald City or the Boss?

Toss Up: Whos' more to blame for the Sonics' move to Oklahoma City: Seattle or David Stern?
Seattle, they didn't fund their team enough. They deserve this...

Jonas Brothers, October 30th conert, are they playing with Miley?

On the Jonas brothers myspace page under upcoming shows a concert October 30th is on there for Portland, Oregon at the Rose Garden. I heard they were going to be the opening act for Miley or something, I don't really know. It never says anything about that on their myspace. I was wondering if anyone knows what's up with this? Are they just playing a few songs? Depending on how much the JB are playing I don't know if I want to go because I don't like Miley Cyrus.

Check jonasbrothersfan.com, I think it says there. Or ticketmaster under the best of both worlds tour.

the Tibetan symbol has been described as an ancient symbol representing the interweaving of the Spiritual Path, the flowing of Time and Movement within That Which is Eternal.

I would prefer to keep it on the smaller side and have considered a few spots where I would want it but im not positive where it would look best. I KNOW I dont want it on the back of my neck though.

As for meaning my mom named me after a Tibetan Buddhist temple "Sera Monastery". Sera also translates to "wild rose garden" in tibetian, so I would like it to be a natural/dark bark color with some interwining vines and blooms.

Frogs that are in my pond?

Ok, i have had a pond outside that i was going to put fish in. I put tap water in there with a water pump in it. i let it set around 2 weeks. Then my dad ran over the water pump cord. so now that doesnt work. I didn't take care of that pond for probally over 3 months. Then i noticed that there were two adult frogs in there. About a month later i noticed that there were alot of tadpoles in there. I let them be. Now they are at the stage where they have all their legs and are starting to lose their tails. Sometime i use this butterfly net to catch some and look at them. they are progressing well. Today my mom and i noticed that the water was getting low, so my mo put the water hose that uses city tap water to fill it all the way up. also today she put this white chemical stuff to kill the bugs off her roses.(the pond is in the middle of the rose garden. About an hour later we found a turtle and put it in there also. About an hour later, i noticed the frogs were DEAD!!!!! What caused it??

Frogs that are in my pond?
The frogs are dead because of the "white chemical stuff." Have you ever read Rachel Carson's book, "Silent Spring?" It talks about how people don't treat pesticides with enough respect, and how we use it everywhere even though it kills things.

I suggest you stop using pesticide. You've seen how it killed your frogs; imagine how it's affecting your body. Pesticides are often fat soluble, too, so they stay in your body in your fats and lower your health for years and years.

You should suggest to your mom that she buy bags of ladybugs for her roses, and use the ladybugs instead of pesticides. Ladybugs eat aphids, which are most likely the bugs on her roses, and are common throughout the world and will not be an invasive species. They also don't poison your body like pesticides do. Preying mantises work, too, if you can't buy ladybugs at a garden store near you.

Seriously, read "Silent Spring." You don't have to read all of it, just certain chapters, and it will really help you understand why your frogs are dead. And why that pond will likely be unable to have any life in it as long as your mom uses pesticides. The frogs were just the first to die because they have a skin that is only a thin membrane and absorbed the poison quickly. Frogs are often used as a 'sentinal species' or 'indicator species' for this reason. If they're dead, other animals will quickly die. If the frogs are healthy, then the water quality is most definitely good.
Reply:I would think it was from adding the water from the hose. The water contains chlorine or chloramine, and if the tadpoles are still in living in the water, this would kill them. The chemicals around the roses would have to be washed into the pond by rain or watering. Report Abuse
    Reply:The tap water..and the chemicals.

    Anyone not have a photographer?

We're thinking of not getting a professional photographer for our wedding and just have a friend take the photos. I often find that the professional pics are too staged and I don't want that. We're planning on having a very casual, laid-back wedding, but in a pretty location... hopefully outdoors in a rose garden. Do you think it would be silly not to pay a photographer? It's just that I live in Ireland and they cost upwards of 1500 euro and I'm trying to stick to a budget. Has anyone else not had a photographer and were you glad or did you regret it? Also, does anyone have any other suggestions instead of either paying for one or having a friend take the pics?

I'm newly engaged and have only started planning so this is all new to me...

    Anyone not have a photographer?
I'm experienced with weddings and your idea is good. As long as you do get lots of images to remember the day by, you can choose the best.

Photographers often ruin a wedding by taking over, and making to big a thing of the photo's. Informal might make a change. Few people ever want to look at them again anyhow.
Reply:Getting married on July 25th and not planning on having a photographer. Instead we are leaving 10 disposable cameras on random seats and as each camera can take around 35 pictures this should be plenty. Plus there are the guest's own digital cameras.

Our reasons are because we'd much rather have relaxed photos than staged and we'd probably end up with a shouting match if the photographer tried to stop family taking photos. My view is I'd be paying him so I say who can take photos.

Also the cost comes into it if you're on a budget, anything with the word "wedding" in front of it trebles in cost straight away.
Reply:hey, i think there are 3 things you shouldnt hold back on in your wedding, that is your dress, his kilt (if hes scottish like my lad lol) and a photographer. I would like to look at proffesional photos that were taken that captured the mood of the day and the best moments that I would be able to show to people who couldnt make it. If it was me i would regret not hiring someone to take some good pictures :) there are other ways to budget thought ;) www.confetti.co.uk have some good ideas :)
Reply:If your going to spend money on something, spend it on a good photographer. The wedding only lasts a day but you will have the photos forever. When interviewing a photographer, make sure to look at lots of their work, with more than one wedding shot from beginning to end.

Don't listen to these horror stories everyone else is saying, my photographer shoots photojournalistic (candids) and more traditional posed photos (that your parents will want). He also put in the contract that we will have our photos within 2 weeks after the wedding. Just pick your photog carefully and you will be very happy with the results. Good luck!
Reply:My auntie never had a photographer and my mum took all the photos. They came out nicely. What you could also do that wouldn't cost much is get some disposable cameras and put one on each table so guests can take photos and then you have a variation. Relatives will also take cameras most likely so you could ask for a copy of theirs too if you wanted.

Hope this helps and congrats on the engagement and wedding.
Reply:at our wedding last year we had a professional photographer. we didn't really want one one as we would have been happy for the casual stuff like you but the wife's parents wanted one and they paid for it so we didn't mind. However its been 8 months and we are still waiting for our photo's

cost about £900 so they better be worth waiting for. we have called her and she says she is busy and we have to wait our turn ??
Reply:We had a photographer but I have been to weddings where there wasn't one. If that's what you choose to do, make sure the friend had a good camera of course. But also consider having disposable cameras on the reception tables, for the guests to take pictures and have a basket set up for them to put the cameras when they are done. With a little card on the table that says something like we are interested in getting your views of our special day. You'll be surprised what kind of candid shots you will get!
Reply:Your photographer doesn't necessarily do staged photos in this day and age. You may regret not having nice photos of your big day. I know some people who haven't wanted to spend on a photographer and the "friend" they were relying on made a mess of it all, or didn't turn up on the day! Dont risk it - shop around and go for a recommendation. It's a special day for you both. Have something to look back on.
Reply:I have a photographer and I am paying $1,700 for it but I have heard of not using one and putting disposable cameras on every table, letting all the guests take pictures for you, then collect them and print out the pictures. My only concern is what if the pictures don't come out as should be? How disappointed will you be? I didn't want to take that chance.
Reply:I got married two years ago and we didn't have a photographer. My husband and I both had good digital camera's we gave them to two trusted members of the family, who took a couple of group photo's then we had disposable cameras on each table for the guests to use. The majority of guests had their own camera's too and sent us the photo's via email. We have about 100 beautiful pictures in an album that we made up ourselves. I have never regretted it at all.
Reply:I was going to get a photographer she wanted $500 that was way to much,,,,,,,,since my cat needed emergency surgery I had to cancel her,,,,,,,,,,,my wedding is on the beach,, I have asked a friend to take the pictures,,,,,and i am buying disposal cameras for the reception so the guest can take pictures and I can drop them off for developing,,,,,I will ask another friend to take pictures also at the wedding,I think it will be fine
Reply:best advise i could give is buy a digital camera, an good one, get someone who is good with camera's, give it to them a few days befor the wedding to get used to the camers.

tell them to take as many pics as they can

once the wedding is over, sell teh camera on ebay. you will probably loose a few £ but much cheaper then a photographer!.
Reply:In these days of high quality digital cameras and photoshop, I think it is possible for an amateur to produce very professional looking results (I say that because I am a keen amateur myself!) But I would suggest not relying on random snapshots - find a friend who has a good camera and who likes photography and ask them to be the appointed photographer!
Reply:I would go with a professional photographer. Tell them what you want as far as pictures are concerned. Here in Italy lots of photographers will take less photos for less money. My photographer wanted 1400 euros for full sevice and 700 for a half service. It was a great solution for us. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
Reply:Im getting married in June and I would say definately fork out for a photographer. If you going to have an amateur do anything I would say let them do a video. A photographer can make you look gorgeus in your photos and knows all the tricks to make your day look extra special when you look back on it. I really think youll regret not having one
Reply:You could always check out local photographers to see if they would do a studio session cheaper. It would involve getting dressed up in your wedding attire on a different day, usually before the wedding and going into their studio for an hour or so. You could take important immediate family in too (parents, grandparents etc).

    Good luck!
Reply:We are not having a professionsal photographer either. We are putting disposabal cameras on each table and asking a friend to take photos. We can make copies ourselves, even burn DVD's ourselvs. So there is no need to spend thousands of dollars having someone else do it.
Reply:my sister had 150 guests at her wedding and most of them had a camera they all was taking pic's here and there and on her tables where you have favours she had throw away cameras it worked a treat coz she was getting flashed at all angles and she had the pick of the photo's at the end i wish i thought of that on my wedding day as i spend mega bucks on my photo's
Reply:give all your friends disposables, they are in Tesco at £13 for 6 , tell alll the guests to take pictures of you. Some of them will be good!

open a flickr acount online and invide guests to upload their pics for you.

Approach a local photography club and invite them along to take pics, you will get at least one willing to do this for the experience.
Reply:I think you should ask all your friends with digital cameras to bring them. You'll get loads and loads of pictures, and there will be both wonderful and funny pictures among them. Just make sure you get the guests to share the photos. Maybe open up a photobucket account and give all the guests the username and password.

    Just an idea.

Reply:Not at all a silly idea, i am getting married in September this year and we are also not forking out for a professional is Sydney they are upwards of $2000 (and thats a cheap one), Like you we are on a tight budget.

This is what we are doing, we are having a friend who has a good a camera take some nice pictures of special moments (me walking down the aisle, first kiss, exchanging rings, first dance, cutting the cake etc) then for the reception we are putting disposable cameras (about $5 each) on guests tables to get get candid pics of all our guest (a professional wouldnt even get fun shots like these) My sister is then putting all the photos together in a hard covered coffee table book (we are also doing one for each of our parents) All together this will probably cost us no more then $300 compared to $3000!!!!

I've attached a few links to have a look at... Good luck and do what makes you and your Fiance happy, at the end of the day you two are the ones paying for it all!
Reply:I understand being on a budget I'm on one myself. It's a great idea to have guest take photos but you might not be satisfied with what you get. A friend of mine had done the same thing and was miserable about the pictures she received.I understand that you don't want the traditional photos (everyone in lines and rows), but now many photographers are moving away from that so that the photos are more candid and really show the emotion of the big day. Why not check at a local university and a photography student, they would be at least 75% cheaper and would know more about taking pics then the average person. Remember years from now you will really appreciate that you have some great photos. Good luck!
Reply:I married a photographer, so I'm probably not the best one to answer, but I know this: mym sister was married 25 years ago, and they decided not to bother hiring a photographer due to cost. She still regrets not having "real" photos of her wedding day. A snapshot cannot replace a professional portrait.
Reply:My wife and I had her Uncle do it.

Big mistake, he lost control of everyone and we never got any quality photos.

I would suggest that you hire someone to do a very limited amount of formal photos of the ceremony, you and your wife, and of the wedding party and immediate family. After that rely on candids by your friends and family.

One small thing, DO NOT mug for the camera. My wife ruined some potentially beautiful photos by making faces. At the time she thought it was "cute", 17 years later she will not even look at our album because it reduces her to tears. There were some great shots of her and her now deceased mom and dad, instead of a lovely photo, there she is making a face.
Reply:Look for a photographer who specializes in photojournalism. They do more candids and less staged portraits. Unless your friend has serious camera skills, I’m afraid you’ll be disappointed with the results from an amateur. I have plenty of photos from my friends and family from my weeding, and they aren’t nearly the quality of those from my pro photographer. I don’t know about you, but if I had been in charge of putting together my own wedding album, those pics would very likely still be in boxes.

My husband convinced me to let his cousins film the ceremony instead of hiring a pro videographer and it’s one of the few things I regret. The audio is wretched, the picture isn’t clear and it’s often shaky. This also put us in the position of editing the two cameras worth of shots so 18 months later, I still don’t have what I’d call a completed film. If I could go back, I’d find the money to hire a pro for this. You can’t go back and recreate the day; you get one chance to capture it.

  • Openers for the Foo Fighters on July 10th in Portland?

I'm gonna go see the Foo Fighters play at the Rose Garden on July 10th. I'm TOTALLY stoked. I love all of their stuff. Anywho, does anyone know if there's gonna be an opener? I can't find anything about an opening band for that show. Is it possible that they will announce one later that will join them for that show?

Well. Against Me and Serj Tankian have been opening for them during the tour, so I'd assume it'd be them.

    ^the symbol i want tattooed

it is a Tibetan symbol has been described as representing the interweaving of the Spiritual Path, the flowing of Time and Movement within That Which is Eternal.

In need of some tattoo advice?
if your keeping it small you could go with: inside wrist, ankle, top of foot, pelvic bone, it all depends on your style. theres some suggestions!
    Reply:whats the question?
Reply:A couple of things here - the link doesn't actually show a symbol and there is no definite question.

If you are asking for what the best position is, well that's really up to you, isn't it? Only you know where you will be happiest with it, not us. As the design is presumably a small symbol, I would suggest you get a marker pen and roughly draw it (or get someone else to do it) on the part of your body that you think is the best. It'll take a day or two to wear off by which time you should know whether or not it looks and feels right.
Reply:If it's only smallish, how about on your inner wrist? I think that would look pretty cool! or maybe your lower back?
Reply:It all depends on how small its going to be. Very small tattoos go in very small areas. For example, you wouldnt get a lady bug tattoo in the middle of your back, would you?

The tattoo you're speaking about (although I was going to suggest the nape of the neck before you said that!) would look really cute on the wrist (maybe on the left wrist, linking it to your heart?) or possibly on the ankle, or if you wanted it a little bigger (maybe a couple of inches across) you could turn it horizontally and get it across your upperback.

I love how much this tattoo means to you. Its something that is really important to you, and that is the best sort of tattoo you can have.
Reply:skip the tatoo they are overrated. when you are 60 you will wish you never had one.
Reply:I have a knot of eternity tattoo, it is probably 3 inches across and it is very simple. If you want it with vines and such you are looking at a very large tattoo. ( think at least 8 inches) that limits where you can put it to the thigh or back. You could do it elsewhere but these would be the easiest to see the entire design.

How does this writing sound for my creative writing club? (It doesn't rhyme) It's called 'A life of roses'

Waking up with the light of the morning. I head outside, slowly approaching the garden. I look at the variety of colors around me: reds, blues, greens, browns... My gaze becomes transfixed on a single rose. Reaching down, I pluck it. As I hold it close, I see its petals are heavy with morning dew. It wets my hands, trickling down to soak my sleeve. As I examine it, a thought comes to mind. The rose is still a bud. Fresh, closed, but no longer able to grow. Those red petals look almost gloomy. If I had left the bud to grow, the result would have been magnificent. From that dark emptieness, a tumultuous surge of life would have occured. The abundance of soft petals would billow out in every direction, the rose releasing its scent, freely drawing in the light of the world. But I know that cannot happen, as I've pulled this flower out of its earth of nutrients. In this way, the rose might symbolize life. Within its glossy petals it contained the development of a precious life, ready

I like the imagery, but you need to eliminate a few I's
Reply:As fine as this is, you've told us perhaps a little too much. Would you consider changing "Those red petals look almost gloomy" to "The tight, red petals remind me that if the bud had been left to grow ... "

Also, do you really need all four of the last lines? They smack of overkill. Consider stopping after "cannot happen", and making a slight addition in your next finely drawn line as your summary: "releasing its scent, freely drawing in and reflecting the light and life of the world." You decide. It's your piece, after all, and you do write well.
Reply:Wow, that sounds really good. I want to read more. Good luck with the writing club!

What are your favorite song Lyrics?

Mine Is : Just Friends by The Jonas brothers

    There she goes again

The girl I'm in love with

    It’s cool we’re just friends

We walk the halls at school

    We know it’s casual

    It’s cool we’re just…

I don’t want to lead you on

    No

But the truth is I’ve grown fond

    Yeah

[Chorus:]Everyone knows it’s meant to be

Falling in love, just you and me

    ‘til the end of time

    ‘til I’m on her mind

    It’ll happen

I’ve been making lots of plans

Like a picket fence and a rose garden

    I just keep on dreaming

But it’s cool cause we’re just friends

    Small talk on IM

    Just one word sentences

    It’s cool we’re just friends

    If I had my way

We’d talk and talk all day

    Yeah

    [Chorus:]

    Thinking about how

    We’re gonna say our vows

    It’s cool we’re just friends

    She walks down the aisle

    Seeing my face smile

Cause now we’re more than friends...

I've Just Seen A Face by The Beatles

    I've just seen a face

I can't forget the time or place where we just met

she's just the girl for me

and I want all the world to see we've met

Mm mm mm mm mm mm

    Had it been another day

I might have looked the other way

and I'd have never been aware

but as it is I'll dream of her tonight

La la la la la la

    Falling, yes I am falling

    And she keeps calling

    me back again

I have never known the like of this

I've been alone and I have missed things

    and kept out of sight

for other girls were never quite like this

Da da da da da da

    Falling, yes I am falling

    And she keeps calling

    me back again

    Yeah, pa pa pa pa

    Falling, yes I am falling

    And she keeps calling

    me back again

    I've just seen a face

I can't forget the time or place where we just met

    This life hasn't turned out

Quite the way I want it to be

    (Tell me what you want)

I want a brand new house

    On an episode of Cribs

And a bathroom I can play baseball in

And a king size tub big enough

    For ten plus me

(Yeah, so tell what you need)

I'll need a.. a credit card that's got no limit

And a big black jet with a bedroom in it

And we'll hang out in the coolest bars

In the VIP with the movie stars

I pushed you down deep in my soul for too long.

I fell through the cracks at the end of our street,

Let's go to the beach, get the sand through our feet...

    Bring on the wonder,

    Bring on the song,

I pushed you down deep in my soul for too long...

    Bring on the wonder,

    We got it all wrong,

We pushed you down deep in our souls for too long.

I don't have the time for a drink from the cup,

Let's rest for a while till our souls catch us up...

Also, the song "Seize the Day" by Avenged Sevenfold actually touches me to the point that it gives me chills. Anyway, if you haven't heard "Bring on the Wonder", I suggest you go to Susan Enan's Myspace page and listen to it. It is a truly beautiful, touching song.

Looking for the diary of a young girl with mental health issues...?

...it is NOT Kaysen's "Girl, Interupted", nor is it, "I Never Promised You a Rose Garden".

I'm looking for this book I read ages ago about a young girl with mental issues in the (i believe) 60's, who ultimately has a relationship with her pyschiatrist and begins abusing her perscriptions. I want to say that it is an older book - possibly released in the 70's. Does this sound familiar at all? I know, I know, the story sounds entirely too cliche - but I myself, may develop issues if I do get the name soon. :o)

  • Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

Bush's speech today at the Rose Garden is obviously geared toward encouraging endeavors which will richly line his own bank account and provide him with a comfortable income after he has left office.

Another question: Should the President of the United States be acting in his own best interests, or in ours? Assume for the sake of argument that the two are, at the moment, mutually exclusive.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
It should always be the duty of any politician, not just the president, to look after the well being of their voters before themselves. Politics is suppose to be about being self-less, Bush has made it into selfish. I agree that Bush has only been looking out for himself and his rich buddies that got him the presidency. He only uses smoke and mirrors to try to convince us he cares about our needs. However, I can't give you the name of any president that has yet to act self-lessly for the good of this country.
Reply:Another liberal who whines about gas prices, but also whines about ways to help solve the problem.

You're not looking for a solution, you're looking for another way to whine about Bush.

The fact is, drilling for oil ourselves would lower prices as it would ease dependency on foreign oil. Of course Drilling in ANWR alone won't solve the problem, offshore drilling would also have to be increased.

Building new nuclear power plants to ease our dependency on oil for electricity would further reduce prices.
Reply:Uh, as president, he has had to put all his investments into a blind trust. There's no proof that he's a major stockholder in oil.

You are simply fabricating (lying, for all you leftists) in order to be outraged.

The fact is that drilling in the US has been hindered by forces of ignorance, so has the construction of new refineries.
Reply:The President of the USA should never be acting in his or her own best interest. The President of the USA should only ever act in the best interest of the people of this nation.

Some perspective on my input, I do not believe that the President should be command in chief of the armed forces. I believe that the armed forces should be commanded by the Supreme Court.
Reply:His own interests are just as important as the general public's. For instance, why would anyone want to dump a pile of money into welfare checks if you know they will be spent on crack cocaine and watered down heroin. There are also plenty of upper middle class people in the US who reflect the same interests as the president.

A mutually exclusive argument is a poor one.
Reply:Where do you get your information? And what are your solutions? Schumer, the notorious ignoramus, was bragging that they had a plan to reduce oil prices. Nobody asked the obvious question: What does the plan look like? Your assumption is allegedly that the oil companies are the culprits. How so? Who determines the price of oil? Would you know or just parrot some nonsensical propaganda from the left?

Also how did the Clintons get from rags to riches. Do you really know?
Reply:bush is phony, his.....what ever is phony..etc, etc, etc......

bush and that fat cow cheney never cared for any body but themselves and their big fat pocket!!

Hope they all burn in hell, slowly as possible for all the pain and misery they've caused for every one all around the globe.
Reply:I don't get what statement I'm supposed to agree or disagree to.

Your question makes no sense based on the examples you followed your question up with.
Reply:I don't get your line of thinking. I watched the speech, he was defending his policies as usual, and this isn't going to get him any dollars.
Reply:How did you come to that conclusion? All the article references is withholding the gas tax. Where does he benefit personally?
Reply:Don't all out-going presidents begin to worry about lining their own pockets? Looks like Clinton did exceptionally well -- millions per year.

Now when Clinton lied ... was that in his best interest or the best interest of the country?
Reply:Well, seeing how oil stock is up, up, up, he will do just fine in retirement.
    Reply:Disagree,because it's pure Bushit
Reply:I support our two term President.

Since the democrats took control of congress in 2006 the economy has gone down and gas prices have gone up.
