"WASHINGTON – Seeking to reassure anxious conservatives, President Bush on Wednesday vowed to fence off the most vulnerable portions of the U.S.-Mexican border with a 700-mile barrier that would consist of both physical and electronic “virtual” components.

The president's remarks during the closing moments of 63-minute news conference in the Rose Garden came on the heels of growing doubts among many fellow Republicans about the administration's commitment to erecting a Congress-approved physical barrier to block the routes most favored by smugglers sneaking illegal immigrants across the border. "



Note that the actual bill before Bush says 700 miles of fencing and vehicle barriers, with virtual elements beyond that, but not to replace any of the 700 miles. So it sounds like he is still fudging.... unless the newspaper is just sloppy in its reporting.

Reply:This is another case of our president saying one thing and doing something else he should not agree to build this fence It is a terrific amount of money to build it. And it will not stop them from coming they have found ways to get around everything including our border patrol.

The only thing will stop the flow is for their government to create jobs and find ways of making there peoples life easier then you may have and end to it.
