Patio Rose?

I bought a patio rose last year "Pearl Wedding" as hubby and I were celebrating 30 years. It bloomed all year right into late October. I pruned it as stated on the tag which came with it. Earlier this year it started to bud and grow then suddenly all the stems and leaves turned brown and the buds died.

There are a couple of green leaves but not many. I have not over watered it (it stayed on the patio in a sheltered garden).

I live in the South of England and the patio in in a south west aspect.

If I prune it hard, might it survive??

Patio Rose?
My roses (here in Wales) were budding early and then the cold weather turned them black. I pruned them back to a healthy leaf node and now they are budding up again.

Prune off all the dead/blackened growth to a healthy, outward facing bud. Could do with some good rose food too, since they have used up a lot of energy already.
Reply:this year the late frosts we had took all of my buds, they are slowly coming back but they would normally be out by now. could u have black spot? it's a real pain, there are sprays u can buy ir u have, prob the best is roseclear 3 and also feed it with top rose
