Cat repellent?

I've just made a new rose garden and I've got foreign cats using it as a cat loo. Does anyone have good advice on what to use to keep the cats out of the garden?

Cat repellent?
I don't know if it will hurt the plants - but pepper works, either red or black. Good Luck!
Reply:Local home improvement store should have something or a local Co-Op should. You said loo, so I'm thinking you aren't in the states so I can't be more specific on what to get, since I'm not sure what all you have there (if you are out of the US).
Reply:Depending on the size of your new rose garden, if it isn't too terribly large, pick up a few rolls of the heavy duty (wide) aluminum foil and completely cover the ground around the roses. This will serve 2 purposes--it will keep all cats out (they HATE aluminum foil), and it will keep the weeds out. Simply poke a couple holes in it here and there so that when you water, the water can get thru and soak into the roses. Problem solved--cats won't be stepping on this area again.
Reply:Get a water spray bottl3e a few sprays and they will stay away!
