Would you be worried if the weather predicted rain on your outdoor wedding if it's still 10 days away?
Everyone knows that outdoor weddings are a gamble. It could rain, be windy, hot, cold etc. It's never a smart idea. 10 days is awhile. It could change. Last week they were calling for 70 and storms in my area this weekend and now it's supposed to be 95 and sunny.
Reply:Worry only about the things YOU can control. You can't control the weather, so why worry about it? Plan around it -- have a back up plan just in case. My wedding was in a rose garden on the first day of spring. The day before the wedding, we all had to wear winter coats (in southern California!), it looked horrible outside like it was going to try and snow. The day of the wedding, was absolutely picture perfect.
Reply:Nope. Its ten days away, things could change between now and then.
If it happens to rain, then people will understand the need for the rainy day location.
Reply:Yep! I would be worry. all the money u spend.. yep! Just hope it does not happen on your wedding day! All I can say Keep close eye on the weather forecast...Maybe you can change it to inside.... good luck =)
Reply:You can't control the weather, a lot can change in 10 days, don't let it ruin your mood.
Reply:Its 10 day's away anything can happen still. And at least you have a back up plan. Look at it this way rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck.
Reply:Breathe in Breathe out... o.k. Relax. I would not trust the weather man. You have planned for everything, now let it happen the way it's going to. I would check the weather the day before, because weather can change in an instant. 10 days is unpredictable. But if the day before does forecast rain, there's nothing you can do but smile, get married and enjoy your day. Don't let the weather ruin the special day, your handsome groom will be facing you telling you that he will love and cherish you for all the days of his life, not rain, sleet or snow, could change that moment.
Good luck and don't forget to breathe!
Reply:I would say relax the weather people are not god and they do not know 100% yet, just be glad that you have a back up plan
Reply:I went through the same thing just a few weeks ago. It did rain all day (calling for 60%), but at 6:00 p.m., the weather cleared up and it was beautiful. Don't panic, even if it's raining that morning. If you do have to have it inside, it will still be beautiful. Worrying does not good.
Reply:The weather is unpredictable. My friend got married at the end of July. Up until the morning of the wedding the forecast was for torrential rains and thunderstorms. The day before had the same forecast and there was a lot of flooding from all the rain. Anyway, the day of the wedding arrived and the rain never did (good thing because there was no rain site option). It was a beautiful, outdoor wedding overlooking the ocean. The weather was perfect all day long. So don't work yourself up (I know that is hard, I've been a bride) because you never know what the weather will do. You can have a forecast of perfect weather and that can also change. The most you can do is hope and pray that the day is as you hope it to be. In the end you'll be married no matter what the weather is. Good luck!
Reply:Oh I feel your pain, I got married in June and the weather was beautiful until the week before the wedding, And we had planned an outdoor wedding and reception as well with really no back up plan. And yes it started raining 1 hour before our wedding was to start.......I was crazy panicking but we were able to move the wedding to our church at the last minute and it amazingly stopped raining right after the wedding and we were able to have the outdoor reception......so dont worry, rain or shine, you will be married on that day, and it will be the happiest day of your life, and who knows, maybe the rain will bring ya a little good luck
Reply:I would be........come up with a great just in case plan!! It will be sad but remember the most important things is that you are marring the man of your dreams and that is what counts.
Reply:I would be ... can you rent any tents quick just in case.
They only need about four to six hours to install them if you use a rental agency
Reply:Okay, it's time to find your Zen spot.
You cannot control the weather. You have a backup plan for the ceremony in place. Ten days gives you a little window to arrange for a tent or something in case the reception is too rainy for just the shelter currently available. Of course you'll be disappointed if it rains too hard to have the wedding you've dreamed of, but keep this in mind: no matter what, you're going to marry your guy. Whatever the wedding is like, wherever it's held, whatever goes right and whatever goes wrong, you will end the day married to the man you love.
So make further rain arrangements for the reception, just in case, and then let nature take her course. You cannot control the rain, so concentrate on what you can control and do your best to relax.
In the meantime, I'll be sending dry thoughts.
Reply:relax, 10 day forecasts aren't that great. Mine said the exact opposite - sun, sun and more sun. Then as the day started to get closer they changed it to reflect the real weather. Cloudy, hot, humid with a good chance of rain. It did rain a little but we were able to take our outdoor pictures. It will hopefully change for the better for you in a few days.
Reply:I wouldn't worry the weatherman isn't always right. As a matter of fact where I live he's hardly ever right. Pray for rain BEFORE your wedding, it turns everything greener and your pictures will look great on your wedding day!
Reply:You should plan to reserve a tent, why make yourself upset with this and people will either stand under the tent or in the sun. Always have a back up plan...
